Summer Dance Intensive

“Summer Intensive” level classes are designed to help the experienced dancer focus on developing and expanding his/her technique, style, and flexibility in each major discipline while providing a wonderful opportunity for the beginner level student. It provides the child new to dance, an opportunity to explore the many facets of dance and decide if he/she would like to pursue fall instruction.
 

JUNE 26th - 29th, 2023

SUMMER INTENSIVE OFFERINGS: Classes taught by Miss Sonya Leigh McGee

• Developmental Dance Experience: 30 min classes that use dance movement to improve balance, coordination and to reinforce basic educational skills (i.e., colors, numbers, directions, sharing, taking turns, etc.) from 5:15 – 5:45 pm - Combination Ballet &  Jazz movement……ages 2.5 – 7 (suitable for Comb I students 2.5 - 5 and  students w/moderate developmental delays) 

• Danceworks: 45 min classes exploring a variety of fun themes in dance, from 5:45 – 6:30 pm-- Combination Ballet, Tap, Jazz, & Musical Theater classes………………ages 5 – 8 (Comb I & II students ages 5+) 

• Junior/Intermediate/Senior:   2 hours of class from 6:30 – 8:00 pm - Jazz, Contemporary, Modern, & Musical Theater (varies daily)………ages 9+ (experienced dancers; comparable to Tech Levels I, II, III & Company)
